Job summary

Talent is seeking a Master Scheduler to join a large state government ICT program in Brisbane CBD on a brand new project. The role requires expert schedule management across multiple project schedules, reporting progress to enable leadership to achieve milestones and deliverables.

• Maintain dependency registers for projects and programs within the portfolio.
• Ensure schedules align with governance frameworks and point-based DCMA assessment.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across a large organization.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Master Scheduler to join a large state government department based in Brisbane CBD on a brand new ICT program of work.

• Contract to 26/02/27 (with planned 12 month extension)
• Up to $139.39/hour inc super (OR $1115.96/day inc super based on 8 hours)

The Master Scheduler will report to the ICT Senior Program Manager, will provide expertise in schedule management across multiple project schedules and support the program through monitoring, control and reporting of progress to assist program leadership in achieving key milestones, anticipate resource requirements and achieve project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a schedule management plan, outlining the schedule quality standards, and process for developing and maintaining schedules.
• Work with Project Managers to develop and maintain schedules for projects within the IPS ICT Program, including identification of key milestones and a critical path
• Regularly liaise with project and program managers, business analysts, technical resources, vendors and external government agencies to develop / maintain project schedules and manage dependencies
• Evaluate project and program schedules, progress, and performance and identify developing risks & issues. Including appropriate escalation of schedule concerns
• Develop and maintain Dependency registers for projects and programs within the Enterprise Delivery Portfolio.
• Pragmatic alignment of schedules to the DCMA 14-point schedule assessment

Experience in:

• Experience using Microsoft Project Professional to develop project and program schedules
• Ability to develop schedules aligned to strong governance
• Proven experience with developing schedules aligned to Prince 2 / Agile / Hybrid methodologies in a large organisation
