Job summary

THE ROLE

Our client, a Queensland State Government agency, is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join a large-scale ICT program that is central to child safeguarding reform across the state. This is a contract opportunity based in Queensland, supporting a program with a committed go-live timeline and significant public purpose behind it. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will own schedule management across multiple concurrent projects — keeping the program on track, dependencies visible, and leadership well-informed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Develop and implement a schedule management plan covering quality standards and schedule governance processes
• Partner with Project Managers to build and maintain project schedules, including critical path analysis and milestone identification
• Liaise regularly with Program Managers, Business Analysts, technical resources, vendors, and external government agencies to manage cross-project dependencies
• Evaluate schedule progress and performance, identify emerging risks and issues, and elevate concerns proactively
• Develop and maintain Dependency Registers across the program portfolio
• Apply the DCMA 14-point schedule assessment to ensure schedule integrity and rigour

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project Professional in a complex program environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain schedules under strong governance frameworks
• Proven experience with Prince2, Agile, or Hybrid delivery methodologies in a large organisation
• Ability to coordinate people, resources, and timelines with minimal direction
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical, business, and executive audiences
• Commitment to workplace equity, diversity, and inclusion

NICE TO HAVE

• Tertiary education or formal study in Project Management
• PMP and/or PMBOK accreditation
• Prince2 certification
• Agile and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
