Job summary

MTP Services is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to establish an integrated program scheduling and resource management capability for a high-profile Federal Government security program in Canberra. You will design and implement a sustainable planning framework covering project delivery, maintenance and operational activities, then transition the capability to Program and Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing complex master schedules for large programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent enterprise scheduling tools.
• Strong resource management, workforce planning and capacity analysis.
• Experience with regulated environments and security programs.
• Active NV2 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated, resource-loaded master schedule.
• Establish resource planning, forecasting and allocation processes.
• Build resource registers, capacity models and demand forecasts.

MTP Services is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to establish an integrated program scheduling and resource management capability for a high-profile Federal Government security program.

This is broader than a traditional scheduling role. You will design and implement a sustainable planning framework covering project delivery, maintenance and operational activities, then transition the capability to Program and Project Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated, resource-loaded master schedule.
• Establish resource planning, forecasting and allocation processes.
• Build resource registers, capacity models and demand forecasts.
• Model delivery scenarios and identify resource constraints and bottlenecks.
• Provide executive reporting and recommendations to support prioritisation.
• Develop scheduling governance, procedures, guidance and training.
• Deliver a comprehensive handover to internal program teams.

Required experience

• Extensive experience establishing complex master schedules for large programs.
• Advanced Microsoft Project or equivalent enterprise scheduling expertise.
• Strong resource management, workforce planning and capacity analysis experience.
• Demonstrated scenario modelling and analytical capability.
• Experience working with specialist technical resources in regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive reporting skills.
• Active NV2 security clearance.

Experience supporting security infrastructure or capital works programs will be highly regarded.
