Job summary

Placed.au is seeking two full-time Cooks for our client in Goulburn, New South Wales. You will prepare, cook, and present a range of meals to high standards and support the kitchen team during service.

The role requires a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or at least three years of relevant experience, plus at least one year in a cook or similar kitchen role, with strong food safety knowledge and ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or at least three years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
• Must have at least one year of relevant work experience in a Cook or similar commercial kitchen role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen operations.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present a range of meals in line with recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, portions, and presentation for consistency.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Receive, store, and rotate food supplies to maintain freshness and minimise waste.
• Follow proper food storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.
