Job summary

The University of Western Australia is seeking a Marketing Officer to support the Brand, Marketing and Recruitment division in elevating the college's reputation and driving student enrolment.

You will coordinate marketing activities across campaigns, events, direct communications, and collateral, working with schools to align objectives and deliver measurable outcomes across earned, owned and paid channels.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial marketing experience including developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, segment-led nurture journeys, event organisation and website content management.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work as part of a team.
  • Strong planning and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in a range of marketing software and platforms including databases, email and website.

  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing initiatives that enhance the reputation of the College of Schools portfolio.
  • Coordinate a broad range of marketing activities, including marketing planning, integrated campaigns, events, direct marketing communications, and the development of marketing collateral across earned, owned and paid channels.
  • Partner with designated Schools to develop a deep understanding of their strategic objectives, market positioning, marketing objectives and student recruitment priorities.
  • Apply insights and data-informed recommendations to identify opportunities, address challenges and shape marketing initiatives aligned to the strategic goals of the College of Schools and the University.

Job description

Join a high performing team of marketing professionals to enhance the reputation of UWA and drive student enrolment.

Full-time appointment on a fixed-term basis until Friday, 27 August 2027.

Base salary range: $99,040 – $104,669 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Brand, Marketing and Recruitment (BMR) division exists for the purpose of showcasing the best of UWA, ultimately enhancing reputation and driving student engagement and growth. The division consolidates all marketing, communications, engagement and event activity into one team, enabling strong connectivity and improved effectiveness.

The Marketing, Performance and Operations team within BMR operates as a cross-functional hub that unifies strategic marketing, digital experience and CRM capability to drive student acquisition and enhance overall marketing performance. MPO is responsible for delivering sustainable growth through end-to-end performance marketing, leading the conversion of awareness and consideration into enrolments via integrated campaign execution, marketing automation and lead nurture, product marketing expertise, CRM and enquiry management, and the optimisation of digital experience and channels.
