Job summary

Boluda Towage is seeking an experienced Operations Controller to support Brisbane and Sydney. The role ensures safe, efficient, cost-effective scheduling and crew management for tug operations and port calls.

You will live within a 1-hour drive of Brisbane and operate on a rotating shift, including nights, with a focus on data accuracy, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with fatigue management rules.

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling experience is desirable or multi chain logistics experience.
• Great work ethic and technical knowledge.
• Excellent time management, planning and problem solving skills.
• A high level of verbal, written and computer literacy skills.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and deadline driven.
• Be willing and fit to work 12 hour shifts including night shifts.
• High attention to detail, analytical/critical thinking with a strong understanding of chain of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Safely manage and internally allocate tugs and crew to vessels.
• Ensure customer requests and stakeholder management are met.
• Maintain multiple platforms including Helm and QShips.
• Monitor VHF radio, liaise with crew and VTS via email and phone.
• Work together as a team to ensure efficient turnaround times.
• Provide consistent and precise data entry, handle calls, emails and messages on a 24/7 basis.
• Identify and rectify potential scheduling conflicts and communicate changes quickly.
• Schedule maintenance, bunkers and waste disposal around the schedule.
• Maintain overview of Harbour Tug operations on a 24/7 basis.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Comply with Enterprise Agreements and Fatigue Management rules.
• Submit accurate and timely reports as required by the company.
• Completing and compiling accurate invoices for submission to agents in a timely manner.
