Job summary
Port of Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance and reliability of our marine support craft fleet. You will report to the Maintenance Coordinator and ensure vessels stay safe, compliant and ready to operate through effective planning, fault finding, contractor management and technical support.
Key duties include planning maintenance, troubleshooting defects, coordinating repairs and managing CMMS work orders while analysing reliability trends for lifecycle
Qualifications
- Trade qualification in mechanical discipline and relevant maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain, repair or coordinate maintenance for marine or fleet assets.
- Strong fault finding and practical problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise maintenance while ensuring safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering planned and corrective maintenance across the support craft fleet.
- Troubleshoot vessel defects and provide technical advice to vessel crews, workshop personnel and contractors.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs and refits to minimise operational disruption.
- Monitor and manage work orders within the CMMS, ensuring accurate records and timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Analyse vessel reliability trends and contribute to asset improvement and lifecycle planning initiatives.
