Job summary

Followmont Transport is seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our Sydney team. This hands-on operational role coordinates drivers, fleet and resources to ensure safe, efficient and reliable service delivery across our network.

In this fast-paced environment, you will oversee daily operations, manage schedules, monitor compliance, and support drivers to achieve exceptional customer outcomes. This is a stable, full-time opportunity with ongoing training and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and reporting tools.
• Excellent planning, time management and problem solving skills.
• Understanding of transport compliance, Chain of Responsibility and operational requirements.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods segregation and equipment configurations highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Good understanding of the Sydney and NSW transport network.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drivers, fleet and resources to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Manage schedules, route planning and resource allocation.
• Monitor operational KPI's, costs and performance using Excel and reporting tools.
• Maintain compliance with transport regulations, safety requirements and company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including RF scanning and pallet control processes.
• Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability, safety and service excellence.
