Job summary

IKAD Engineering, an Australian-owned company serving marine, mining, mineral processing and oil & gas, seeks experienced Trades Assistants for ongoing Rozelle, NSW work. This hands-on role suits reliable, safety-focused workers who thrive in a high-performing team and adapt to changing environments.

Key duties include assisting trades personnel, operating hand and power tools, maintaining tidy work areas, and completing safety paperwork in line with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Confined Space Entry certification is required.
• White Card is mandatory for site access.
• Australian Citizenship is required for Defence clearance eligibility.
• Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months) is needed.
• Australian Driver’s Licence is required.
• Experience working safely at heights is essential.
• EWP ticket is desirable.
• Fire Sentry ticket is desirable.
• Prior marine industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades personnel with marine and workshop tasks.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Follow verbal instructions and site procedures.
• Complete required paperwork and safety documentation.
• Adhere to all workshop and site safety requirements.
