Job summary

Gallagher is hiring an experienced Account Manager to join the Marine, Transport & Logistics team in Sydney. You will manage a portfolio of marine and commercial clients, deliver tailored risk and insurance solutions, and negotiate with insurers to secure optimal outcomes.

You will collaborate with a skilled team, develop new business opportunities, and mentor junior staff while upholding Gallagher's values of integrity and client-centric service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in insurance broking or account management.
• Experience managing mid-market to large commercial or marine clients.
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong client-focused approach and multi-priority management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of marine, transport, logistics and commercial clients.
• Coordinate end-to-end renewal processes including strategy meetings, market engagement, reporting and placements.
• Provide informed risk advice and develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Build relationships with insurers, underwriting agencies and stakeholders.
• Assist in new business opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Negotiate with insurers to achieve optimal coverage and commercial outcomes.
• Monitor debtor performance and portfolio profitability.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative culture.
• Act as a Gallagher brand ambassador in the marine and transport industry.
