Job summary

South Gippsland Water is seeking a Manager Risk and Resilience to lead enterprise risk management and coordinate assurance, internal audits and governance reporting. The role drives emergency management, business continuity planning and organisational readiness across all sites.

The successful candidate will manage complex programs with multiple contributors, engage stakeholders, and promote risk-aware decision making at senior levels. Flexible work options are available.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified person to join SGW as a Manager Risk and Resilience. The key requirements of the role are:

• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise risk management, including the ability to provide strategic advice, facilitate strategic and operational risk reviews, assess control effectiveness and integrate risk into organisational planning and decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating assurance and internal audit programs, including audit planning & scoping, management responses, action tracking, governance reporting and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in emergency management and business continuity preparedness, including development and testing of plans, facilitation of exercises, evaluation of performance and implementation of improvement actions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex annual programs with multiple contributors and fixed deadlines, such as regulatory assurance, audit and organisational preparedness cycles, with strong attention to information quality and governance.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to provide constructive challenge and communicate complex matters effectively to Board/committee, executive, operational and external audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organisational uplift and embed practical systems, tools and behaviours that strengthen risk culture, accountability and resilience
