Job summary

South Gippsland Region Water Corporation is seeking a Manager Risk and Resilience in Leongatha, VIC. This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid work arrangements and a competitive salary range of $135,000–$145,000 plus super and leave loading.

The role requires senior expertise in risk management, assurance coordination and emergency planning, with a focus on governance, resilience and service reliability across our water and wastewater networks.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in enterprise risk management and strategic risk reviews.
• Experience coordinating assurance and internal audit programs, including governance reporting.
• Experience in emergency management, business continuity planning and testing.
• Ability to lead multi-contributor programs with fixed deadlines (regulatory assurance, audit, preparedness).
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication with diverse audiences including Board/committee and executives.
• Experience embedding risk culture, accountability and resilience across an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic risk advice and integrate risk into planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate assurance, audit planning, scoping, management responses and action tracking.
• Lead organisational uplift and embedding of risk tools and behaviours.
• Oversee emergency management programs and business continuity testing and improvements.
• Engage stakeholders to challenge and communicate complex risk matters clearly to executives and board.
