Davidson has partnered with Gippsland Water to appoint a Manager Strategy and Corporate Regulation, a senior leadership opportunity responsible for shaping organisation-wide strategy, corporate planning, regulatory reporting and pricing.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leading a small team, the Manager Strategy and Corporate Regulation will provide leadership and expertise across strategic and corporate planning, regulatory reporting and pricing.

You’ll lead the development and delivery of key strategic and regulatory programs, including pricing submissions, while providing insight and analysis to senior leaders and the Board. The role will work extensively across the organisation and with regulatory bodies, government agencies and other external stakeholders to strengthen accountability, influence outcomes and support Gippsland Water’s long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead organisation-wide strategic and corporate planning, translating priorities into measurable outcomes and effective performance reporting.
• Oversee regulatory planning, reporting and compliance frameworks, ensuring commitments and obligations are embedded across the organisation.
• Lead the development and delivery of pricing submissions and associated regulatory programs.
• Provide strategic insight through environmental scanning, industry research, analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, executives and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the team while effectively managing the function's financial and operational resources.

About You

You’re a strategic and commercially minded leader who can operate effectively across complex regulatory, corporate and stakeholder environments. You’re comfortable moving between big-picture organisational strategy and the detail required to deliver high-quality regulatory submissions, reporting and governance outcomes.

You’ll bring strong analytical and problem-solving capability, coupled with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate complex information into clear advice for executives and Boards. Just as importantly, you’ll be an engaging people leader who can build capability, operationalise strategy, execute projects and programs with a high level of , accountability and collaboration within your team.

Must-Haves

• Demonstrated experience leading regulatory submissions, pricing strategies and/or strategic objectives, alongside organisational strategic and corporate planning.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and governance frameworks, with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
• Proven leadership capability and the ability to influence, execute, negotiate and build relationships across all organisational levels.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience within a regulated utility, government or infrastructure environment, particularly involving major regulatory pricing or economic regulatory submissions.
