Job summary

National Australia Bank in Sydney is seeking a Manager, Performance & Reporting to lead a small team and shape the performance and strategic direction of the Consumer Cards portfolio. You will provide governance, insights and performance frameworks to support informed decision-making, portfolio optimisation and delivery against financial and regulatory objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in product management, portfolio management, banking, financial services or payments
  • Proven experience leading planning, strategy, performance management or portfolio management functions
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of portfolio economics and performance drivers
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making
  • Experience leading executive-level reporting, governance and business planning activities
  • Strong financial management capability, including forecasting, budgeting and investment prioritisation
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and lead outcomes across complex stakeholder groups
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience developing performance management frameworks, KPIs and portfolio reporting
  • Ability to identify opportunities, balance competing priorities and drive execution against strategic objectives
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing teams and fostering accountability
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of annual business plans, performance tracking and portfolio reporting across the Consumer Cards business
  • Drive strategic prioritisation across product, customer, regulatory and technology investments
  • Coordinate strategic reviews, portfolio planning cycles and quarterly business reviews
  • Develop robust reporting processes that ensure data accuracy, quality, reconciliation and transparency
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities for the cards portfolio
  • Prepare Executive, Leadership and Board reporting that informs strategic decision-making
  • Translate enterprise and business objectives into actionable portfolio plans and performance measures
  • Establish and maintain integrated performance management frameworks across the portfolio
  • Monitor progress against business plans, strategic objectives and transformation commitments
  • Identify portfolio risks, dependencies and performance challenges, driving timely actions and solutions
  • Analyse competitor activity, market trends and customer insights to identify growth opportunities
  • Coordinate cross-functional action plans and ensure delivery accountability across strategic initiatives
  • Foster a culture of performance discipline, continuous improvement and strong governance across the business

  • Partner across Product, Risk, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Distribution and Operations to drive sustainable growth and customer outcomes

As a Manager, Performance & Reporting, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the performance and strategic direction of the Consumer Cards portfolio. Leading a small team, you'll provide the insights, governance and performance frameworks that support effective decision-making, portfolio optimisation and delivery against financial, customer and regulatory objectives.
