Royal Automobile Club of Queensland (RACQ) is seeking a strategic Manager for Infrastructure and Cloud to set direction across infrastructure, cloud platforms, automation and observability. You’ll balance reliability with delivery priorities and drive sustainable change.

You’ll lead a skilled team, partner with stakeholders and manage budgets, vendors and FinOps while advancing modern engineering practices and security controls across enterprise environments.

Formación

• Proven leadership of enterprise infrastructure, cloud or platform services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with automation, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering.

About the role
You’ll set the strategic direction for Infrastructure and Cloud, balancing operational reliability, delivery priorities and long-term sustainability. As a visible Technology leader, you’ll build trusted partnerships and make cloud, automation and platform capabilities easier for teams to understand, consume and adopt.

• Lead the Infrastructure and Cloud strategy, roadmap and end-to-end service portfolio.
• Develop a high-performing team through coaching, clear direction, accountability and capability building.
• Oversee cloud, enterprise infrastructure, platform engineering, automation and observability services.
• Strengthen service health, resilience, security, risk controls and major-incident response.
• Drive modern engineering practices, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation and platform engineering.
• Manage budgets, FinOps, vendors, contracts and technology investments.

About you
You’re an experienced people and technology leader who can connect strategy, technical expertise and operational delivery. You build trusted relationships, develop others and confidently guide decisions across complex cloud and infrastructure environments.

• Demonstrated leadership of enterprise infrastructure, cloud or platform services.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and developing capability.
• Sound knowledge of ITIL-aligned service management, operational risk, controls and resilience.
• Experience with automation, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code and platform engineering.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, financial management, vendor and contract-management capability.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in cloud, infrastructure, ITIL or FinOps will be highly regarded.
