Job summary

RACQ is seeking a Manager Operational Readiness to lead the capability across Technology, aligning delivery, business and operations teams for successful service transitions. You will establish readiness as a trusted partner and ensure ownership is clear throughout planning, implementation and review.

As Manager Operational Readiness, you’ll lead the capability across Technology, bringing delivery, business and operational teams together to prepare new and changed services for successful transition. You’ll provide clear visibility of upcoming change while building a proactive, delivery-focused team.

About the role

You’ll establish Operational Readiness as a trusted delivery partner and source of information about Technology change. From early planning through implementation and review, you’ll ensure impacts are understood, teams are prepared and operational ownership is clear.

• Lead the Operational Readiness vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Develop a capable team through coaching, clear direction and practical support.
• Maintain visibility of the Technology change pipeline, impacts and readiness status.
• Coordinate readiness plans, handovers, support models and transition activities.
• Facilitate collaboration and communication across delivery and operational teams.
• Support implementation, early-life support and post-implementation reviews, using outcomes and feedback to improve readiness practices.
• Identify readiness risks, remove barriers and drive actions through to completion.
• Proactively identify emerging change, readiness gaps and dependencies through delivery forums and stakeholder networks.

About you

You’re a proactive and people-focused leader who can turn complex Technology change into clear, practical actions. You build trusted relationships, communicate confidently and help teams take ownership of sustainable operational outcomes.

• Demonstrated leadership in operational readiness, service transition or change implementation.
• Experience leading delivery-focused teams across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong understanding of operational support, service ownership and transition practices.
• Experience facilitating readiness workshops, handovers and go-live preparation.
• Strong planning, stakeholder engagement and influencing capability.
