Job summary

Mirvac in Sydney is seeking a Manager, Commercial Finance – CMU for a 12-month contract to partner with Development teams, drive financial modelling, forecasting and commercial insights across our portfolio.

You will lead budgeting, analyse financial performance, and support decision-making while developing a collaborative finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of finance experience across property and development.
• Three+ years in property portfolio or development projects.
• CA, CPA or CFA qualification.
• Strong commercial finance, financial modelling and technical accounting capability.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and Excel skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on delivering value.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Development teams on feasibility, forecasting and transactional structuring.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis across projects.
• Analyse P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital performance.
• Deliver accurate reporting in collaboration with FP&A.
• Strengthen financial controls and streamline ways of working.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Manager, Commercial Finance – CMU to join our team for a 12-month contract; offering broad exposure across Development Finance, and strong business partnering with our Commercial Mixed Use Development teams to drive performance, inform decision-making and support the delivery of our strategy.

In this role you will:

• Partner with Development teams on feasibility, forecasting, financial modelling and transaction structuring.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis, providing meaningful commercial insights across projects and the broader portfolio.
• Analyse P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and capital performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner across Finance, Investments and FP&A to deliver accurate, insightful reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls and drive smarter, simpler ways of working.
• Support and develop a collaborative, high-performing finance team.

You’ll bring:

• 8+ years’ finance experience, including 3+ years in property.
• CA, CPA or CFA qualification, or relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Strong commercial finance, financial modelling and technical accounting capability.
• Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and Excel skills.
