About the role

The Performance and Analytics team within the Strategic Reform, Planning and Partnership Directorate in Western NSW is seeking a skilled leader to drive excellence in clinical coding, clinical documentation, activity-based management and performance.

This role will lead a high-performing team across clinical coding and clinical business partnerships within Western NSW LHD. The role provides an opportunity to work within a team and directorate that encompasses both operational and strategic decision-making functions while supporting professional growth.

With an opportunity to lead a team that have key roles in ensuring the district is meeting key performance objectives in relation to Activity Based Management, the role also allows for the potential to develop strategies to enhance coding quality, efficiency, and performance.

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with experts in performance, analytics, coding, clinical costing, activity based management and finance, with support and engagement from the wider team of the Strategic Reform Planning and Partnerships Directorate. You will need strong leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to inspire and lead a team. Knowledge in clinical coding, documentation improvement, and activity based management will be necessary for the role along with an ability to build effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.

This role offers good work life balance with flexible working options. Location for the position is preferably within Western NSW. However, hybrid options within the state would be an option for the right candidate.
