About the role

WNSWLHD are seeking a Property Manager who possesses strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines across a broad portfolio. You will have experience in systems and data management, financial analysis and reporting, project support, governance and audit coordination, and maintaining accurate records and registers.

You will have skills to develop effective working relationships with operational teams, corporate services, government agencies, suppliers and other external stakeholders. Experience in property, asset management, finance, procurement, capital works or a similar large public sector environment would be highly regarded.

The role offers considerable variety and the opportunity to make a visible contribution across Western NSW Local Health District with flexible start and finish times available in this Monday to Friday role. The position provides a high degree of exposure to different services, facilities and business areas across the District. It would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, building strong working relationships and seeing matters through from identification to resolution.

Daily activities

Daily activities may include reviewing current priorities and action registers, maintaining property and asset information, responding to enquiries from facilities and corporate teams, analysing costs, preparing reports and coordinating actions with suppliers or other stakeholders. The role will lead leasing and property matters, and may assist in procurement activities, projects, audits, governance requirements and system improvements. The work is varied, with a mix of planned activities, regular reporting and issues that require timely investigation and resolution.

Successful applicant handover

The successful applicant will have a comprehensive hand-over with the current role holder before they commence long service leave. This will provide structured time to learn the role, understand current priorities and develop the corporate knowledge required to manage the position effectively. The hand-over will cover systems access, current matters, key deadlines, procedures, record locations, important contacts, delegations and escalation pathways. Ongoing support will be provided by the Infrastructure and Property Manager and the broader team through regular check-ins, access to subject matter experts and relevant learning and development opportunities.
