Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking an accomplished Manager Aged Care to lead the operational, financial, workforce and strategic performance of our Aged Care services.

You will oversee Support at Home, Support at Home Private, Commonwealth Support at Home and End of Life services, ensuring high-quality care, stability and sustainable growth across a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Extensive management-level experience within the Aged Care sector.
• Strong working knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Support at Home and CHSP programs.
• Proven track record leading complex, high‑demand services with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing new Aged Care programs and initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen, commercial awareness and analytical problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of Aged Care services, ensuring quality, compliance, workforce and financial performance.
• Provide confident leadership across multidisciplinary teams, building a culture of accountability, high performance and continuous improvement.
• Drive growth and development of existing services and lead the implementation of new programs and service offerings.
• Develop business cases, tenders, grant applications and strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth.
• Oversee workforce planning, rostering, performance management, budgets, risk, complaints and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with government, funding bodies, industry partners and community stakeholders.
• Identify operational challenges early, solve problems decisively and escalated complex or high‑risk matters appropriately.

CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay is seeking an accomplished Manager Aged Care to lead the operational, financial, workforce and strategic performance of our Aged Care services.

This is a role for a highly experienced Aged Care leader who knows the sector inside and out. We are looking for someone who has been there before – someone who understands the complexities of Aged Care operations, has navigated regulatory and workforce challenges, and can step into a complex environment and make an immediate impact.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team across Support at Home, Support at Home Private, Commonwealth Support at Home and End of Life services, with responsibility for ensuring high-quality care, operational stability, sustainable growth and strong organisational performance.

What you’ll be responsible for

About you

You are an established Aged Care professional and experienced people leader who can hit the ground running.

You will bring:

• Extensive management-level experience within the Aged Care sector.

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing new Aged Care programs, services and initiatives.

• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams and creating positive, accountable workplace cultures.
• Demonstrated capability in tender writing, business cases, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Exceptional judgement, emotional intelligence and the ability to confidently navigate complex issues.
• Experience managing complaints, risk, compliance and competing operational priorities.
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach – you see what needs to be done and take ownership of getting it done.

This is not a role for someone looking to learn Aged Care management on the job.
