Job summary

Dematic is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our new Tamworth site, NSW. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on critical automated systems in a cold storage environment (0–4 degrees), ensuring peak performance.

You will apply your electrical trade qualifications and experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, while collaborating with a hands-on team. This role offers stability, growth and a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Australian Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician.
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia).
• Able to work in a cold room / freezer environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience.
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, automation, or MEX CMMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Tasks and Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For:

• Australian Trade Qualification – Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australia)
• Someone who has no issues in working in a cool room / freezer environment

• Solid mechanical aptitude with previous maintenance experience
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders
• Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic systems , automation , or MEX CMMS is a plus – but not essential (we’ll train you)
• A technician who can think on their feet, enjoy problem solving, working with your hands and take ownership of your work
