Job summary

Leading FMCG Business with great reputation & culture is seeking a Maintenance Technician in NSW, Australia. The role targets candidates with electrical or mechanical FMCG experience to perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production lines, while ensuring safety and quality across the site.

You will diagnose faults, service equipment, and support continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Electrician or Mechanical Fitter.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding skills in mechanical or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical faults.
• Troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out equipment servicing, repairs and adjustments.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Assist with continuous improvement and maintenance projects.
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams.

Role: Maintenance Technician

Salary: $125-135,000 + super
Candidate: Qualified Fitter OR Electrician with FMCG/Food Experience
Shift: Monday to Friday12:00pm – 8:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technicianto join a leading FMCG manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and/or electrical faults
• Troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment
• Carry out equipment servicing, repairs and adjustments
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Assist with continuous improvement and maintenance projects
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment
• Work closely with production and other maintenance team members

About You

We are open to candidates from either an electrical or mechanical background.
You will ideally have:

• Trade qualification as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter
• Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food production
• Strong mechanical or electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment issues
• Strong commitment to safety and quality

Electrical candidates: PLC, sensors, motors, VSDs and automated machinery experience would be advantageous.
Mechanical candidates: Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and production machinery would be highly regarded.
