AustCorp Executive is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for its site-based maintenance team in a fast-paced production environment. The role focuses on breakdown response, preventative maintenance, fault-finding and continuous improvement to keep production equipment running safely and reliably.

Ideal candidates will be trade-qualified with hands-on experience in conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and pneumatic systems, plus a strong commitment to workplace safety and collaboration with

• Trade-qualified fitter with Mechanical Trade Qualification/Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Experience in maintenance in manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to breakdowns across production and processing equipment.
• Carry out preventative and planned maintenance activities.
• Perform mechanical fault-finding and repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain equipment inspections and identify potential failures.
• Support plant upgrades, installations and improvement projects.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with electricians, operators and maintenance personnel.

An established manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join its site-based maintenance team.

This is a hands-on position focused on keeping production equipment running safely and reliably through a mix of breakdown response, preventative maintenance, fault-finding and continuous improvement.

It would suit a trade-qualified fitter who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in solving problems properly rather than applying short-term fixes.

The Role Working as part of the maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to breakdowns across production and processing equipment
• Carrying out preventative and planned maintenance activities
• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
• Working on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings and pneumatic systems
• Completing equipment inspections and identifying potential failures
• Assisting with plant upgrades, installations and improvement projects
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
• Completing maintenance records and job documentation
• Maintaining high safety, housekeeping and quality standardsWorking closely with electricians, operators and other maintenance personnel
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and plant performance

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Mechanical Trade Qualification / Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Previous experience in a maintenance fitter position
• Experience within manufacturing, food, packaging, FMCG, industrial or similar environments
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and pneumatic equipment
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance practices
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Experience within a high-speed production or automated manufacturing environment would be highly regarded.
