Unknown Employer in Yatala, QLD is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to manage a broad range of equipment on a full-time basis.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting of mechanical and pneumatic systems, and contribute to productivity improvements while ensuring GMP/GHP compliance. The role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work autonomously.

Qualifications

• Extensive mechanical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are a leading food manufacturer located in Yatala, QLD.We are looking for a hands on and driven Maintenance Technician to join our team to manage an extensive range of equipment on a full-time basis.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Undertaking preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown response
• Line changeovers and production maintenance
• Responding to and managing breakdowns in a timely manner
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Ensure stoppages, performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner.
• Performing routine checks, inspections and preventive works.
• Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
• Problem solving both immediate and long-term issues

The successful application will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Extensive mechanical maintenance experience. Industry experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar FMCG a bonus.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform modifications and improvements on current machinery & processes
• Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems, computerised maintenance systems, and automation (conveyors & sortation systems)
• Qualifications in Engineering/Mechanical Fitter or similar trade certificate.
• Reliable with a great work ethic and excellent team player
• Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
