Job summary

The Country Chef Bakery Co. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join our team at our purpose-built facility on the Sunshine Coast, Bells Creek QLD.

This hands-on role ensures the continual operation of all plant and equipment across the processing facility, with a focus on preventative maintenance and rapid fault resolution. Qualifications

• Holds a valid Cert. 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting and Turning.
• Experience as Mechanical Fitter in food/beverage manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, packaging lines and conveyors is essential.
• Exposure to PLCs and variable speed drives is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous operations by addressing breakdowns across plant and equipment.
• Develop and monitor routine maintenance with emphasis on preventative work.
• Fault finding and maintenance of production equipment with holistic process view.
• Analyse records to identify maintenance improvements and update the MEX system.
• Adhere to quality, food safety, WH&S and environmental policies; may require overtime and shift coverage.

About This Opportunity

Shift Times: 1.45pm-10pm (Afternoon)

This is a hands-on technical role, that is primarily responsible for ensuring the continual operation & effectiveness of all Plant & Equipment across the processing facility.

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

Working closely with the production team to maintain continuous operations by promptly addressing breakdowns and issues with all plant and equipment across the facility.

Development and monitoring of routine equipment maintenance,with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance.

Fault finding, monitoring and maintenance of production equipment, accounting for holistic process flow.

Analysing records and identifying opportunities to improve maintenance programs.

Populate and maintain accurate records in the MEX program.

Adhering to all quality, food safety, WH&S and environment policies and procedures.

Occasional overtime and shift coverage as required.

About You

Holds a valid Cert. 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting and turning.

Previousexperience as a Mechanical Fitter in the food or beverage manufacturing environment, FMCG ishighly regarded but not essential.

Knowledge of pneumatic systems, packaging machines, conveyors, ovens, flow wrappers.

Experience with stainless steel fabrication and TIG welding.

Experience with the MEX system and/or other CMMS software.

Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is also advantageous.

A proactive attitude towards learning, continuous improvement and problem-solving.

Ability to participate in performance monitoring, commissioning and continuous improvement opportunities.

Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

A passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.

Valid and current C Class Driver’s License.
