Job summary

Fortescue invites applications for an experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor at the Eliwana mine site. You will oversee fixed asset and equipment maintenance, lead fitters, boilermakers and lubrication technicians, and ensure high availability and reliability through safe, efficient maintenance practices.

Reporting to the OPF Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, this 7D7N14R FIFO roster from Perth offers a permanent role within a world-leading decarbonisation program.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification and mining fixed-plant maintenance experience.
• Experience leading a team in a mining maintenance environment.
• Schedule 26 supervisor qualification and valid manual driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Hold statutory appointment as a Mechanical Supervisor.
• Coordinate and ensure safe mechanical maintenance activities for fitters and technicians.
• Ensure SAP obligations and skills training matrix are followed.
• Promote Zero Harm safety culture within the team.
• Manage day-to-day planned works and breakdowns for the mechanical team.
• Develop and publish Safe Work Instructions (SWIs).

Our Opportunity

Fortescue seeks an experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor with a background in Ore Processing Facility maintenance. This permanent position at the Eliwana mine site involves reporting to the OPF Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent and overseeing fixed asset and equipment maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.

Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 90 kilometres west of Tom Price.

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth

Key Responsibilities

• Hold statutory appointment as a Mechanical Supervisor.
• Coordinate and ensure safe mechanical maintenance activities for fitters, boilermakers, and lubrication technicians in compliance with site standards and regulations.
• Ensure team commitment to SAP obligations and skills training matrix.
• Promote and enforce Zero Harm principles and safety culture within the team.
• Manage day-to-day planned works and breakdowns of the mechanical team.
• Identify, develop, and publish Safe Work Instructions (SWIs).

Qualifications And Experience

• Mechanical trade background.
• Experience in fixed plant maintenance within the mining sector.
• Schedule 26 statutory supervisor.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Strong safety focus and understanding of production and maintenance strategies.
• Proficiency in SAP and BMS (or similar systems).
• Valid manual driver's license.
