Anglo American is seeking a CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance at Capcoal Mine, Middlemount. You will drive equipment reliability and plant availability through planned and emergent maintenance activities, while mentoring the team and coordinating with external providers.
You will report to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent and focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a large Bowen Basin coal operation. FIFO/DIDO options exist.
German Creek CHPP processes coal from both Capcoal (Lake Lindsay) and Aquila. We have two plants, one 850tph and one 1600tph and an over laying conveyor (OLC) that has 22km of belt. As the CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to use your trade background and leadership skills to lead and develop the people, processes, and systems to carry out maintenance activities within the CHPP safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Working closely with the broader CHPP team, you will be responsible for driving equipment reliability and plant availability through the delivery of planned and emergent maintenance activities. As one of the Bowen Basin's largest and most unique CHPP's, this is a challenging yet highly rewarding role, offering exposure to a complex and large scale steelmaking coal operation and providing an opportunity to broaden your technical knowledge, leadership capability and overall understanding of CHPP operations.
Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
Full-time permanent position based at Capcoal Mine, Middlemount
7 days on, 7 days off rotating day and night shift rostered role
Residential, FIFO (company funded), & DIDO options
Subsidised accommodation and company funded camp options provided
