Job summary

Anglo American Steelmaking Coal in Australia seeks a Planner | Scheduler to plan, coordinate and monitor production and maintenance work ensuring resources are identified and available for safe, efficient delivery.

You will set up planning templates, define constraints and deliverables, and work with site execution teams. Strong SAP EAM experience and maintenance planning background are required for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production planning principles and maintenance strategies to ensure work packages are planned and finalised within cost and time constraints.
  • Strong SAP EAM experience is a must; previous similar roles are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning set up, including job templates and inputs from others.
  • Specify work conditions and constraints with control requirements, hazard controls, permits and procedures.
  • Determine deliverables, scope of work, material, equipment and labour needs for approved maintenance and production work.
  • Create SAP Purchase Requisitions for parts, services and goods to meet production and maintenance demands.
  • Manage master data changes to ensure fit-for-purpose strategies, task lists and maintenance plans.
  • Collaborate with site execution teams and engage stakeholders through formal routines.

Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

Job Description

As thePlanner | Scheduler, youare responsible forplanning, coordinating, andmonitoring ofthe production and maintenance plan for approved work. This ensures that the required resources areidentifiedprior to commencement of work to enable the right delivery of work safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the planning set up, including job templates, and anyadditionalinput fromothers
  • Specify work conditions and constraints with effective control requirements, detailing conditions/constraints, hazard controls, permits, work instructions/procedures and critical controls whereappropriate
  • Determinethe deliverable, scope of work, material, equipment, andlabourrequirements for approved maintenance and production approvedwork
  • Create SAP PurchaseRequisitions forpart, servicesand goodsrequiredfor completion oftasks,(in reference to contract agreementsif available) to ensure prompt delivery of parts to meet our production andmaintenancedemands.
  • Manage master data changes to ensure fit for purpose andaccuratestrategies, task lists, maintenanceitemsandplans
  • Work in partnership with the execution teams at the site.
  • Managing expectations through effective engagement with stakeholders throughorganisedmanagement routines.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will be able todemonstrateexperience in production planning principles and maintenance strategies to ensure work packages are planned andfinalisedwithin cost and time constraints.

  • Strong SAPEAMexperience is amust,previousexperience in a similar role would be an advantage.
  • Experienced in the delivery of services and scope of works, with an emphasis on undertaking work in the safest and most efficientmanner
  • Strong mechanicalor electricaland technical aptitude, working inmachine basedoperations
  • Confident and capable with understanding engineering drawings and complex data entry
  • Experience using R8/Orien isadvantageous.
  • Strong safety focus with a preventative/proactive approach to planning work and the ability to manage OH&S issues toresolution
  • Ability to pick up new systems easily and drive key projects around digital process enhancements.
  • Excellentorganisationaland time management skills.
  • Experience in civil or coal mining,advantageousto have experience working at an underground coalmine
  • Trade or relevant Engineering qualification isdesirable
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management experience.
