Job summary

SSH Mining is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities across our site-based mobile mining fleet in the Leonora region. You will drive safety, reliability and equipment availability on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth to site.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage a team of HD Fitters, Auto Electricians and Servicemen, coordinate planned maintenance, breakdown response and parts provisioning while maintaining accurate records and downtime reporting.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised heavy-duty diesel fitter or equivalent trade qualification.
• Experience supervising maintenance in open-cut mining or heavy earthmoving.
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or similar mining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance across the mobile mining fleet.

SSH Mining is a growing provider of mining services across Australia, focused on safe, reliable and practical project delivery.

Following the award of a new production contract in the Leonora Goldfields, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities across our site-based mobile mining fleet.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of maintenance across the project fleet, supporting high equipment availability, reliability and safe production.

You will lead a team of HD Fitters, Auto Electricians and Servicemen while coordinating planned maintenance, breakdown response, parts and technical support.

• Lead day-to-day maintenance activities across the mobile mining fleet.
• Coordinate planned servicing, breakdown response, diagnostics and defect rectification.
• Manage shift handovers and maintenance priorities to maximise equipment availability.
• Lead and support HD Fitters, Auto Electricians and Servicemen.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, maintenance administration/planning support and operations team.
• Coordinate parts, critical spares, tooling and maintenance resources.
• Liaise with equipment suppliers, specialist contractors and OEM support.
• Monitor equipment condition, recurring defects and component performance.
• Maintain accurate work orders, service records and downtime reporting.
• Drive strong safety standards and visible field leadership across the workshop and field maintenance team.

About You

• Australian-recognised Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent trade qualification.
• Previous maintenance supervisory experience in open-cut mining or heavy earthmoving.
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment and planned/breakdown maintenance.
• Experience across CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or similar mining equipment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems, work orders and equipment history.
• Strong leadership, communication and practical problem-solving skills.
• Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence.
• WA Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency highly desirable.

Roster & Site

2:1 FIFO roster from Perth Airport to the Leonora region.

Site accommodation includes private air-conditioned rooms, ensuite facilities, Wi-Fi and catering.
