Job summary

Emeco is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a 2/2 FIFO role at Prominent Hill, South Australia. The role focuses on leading a crew to maintain plant and mobile equipment with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability and cost-effective operations.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, coordinate breakdown responses and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices on site.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ Maintenance Supervisor experience in mining.
• Strong mobile equipment experience across breakdowns, diagnostics and repairs.
• Tech savvy with Microsoft 365 and AMT maintenance systems.
• Strong maintenance and reliability knowledge with a focus on safety.
• Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate your crew and facilities to keep preventative maintenance and breakdowns moving safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
• Be visible, provide leadership, mentoring and support to your team.
• Collaborate with the crew to develop and maintain efficient maintenance practices across site.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices.
• Keep maintenance targets on time and on budget without compromising safety or quality.
• Build strong relationships with Emeco customers and key stakeholders to keep things running smoothly.
• Hands-on experience with Liebherr 9350, CAT 993, CAT 785C, CAT 785D, CAT 777F, CAT D10T.

WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

• Lead from the front and manage and coordinate your crew and facilities to keep preventative maintenance and breakdowns moving safely, efficientlyand cost effectively.Because downtime isn’t exactly anyone’s favourite KPI.
• Be visible, not just a name on the roster and provide genuine leadership, mentoring and support to your team. Get amongst it, know your people and lead by example.
• Work as one team and collaborate with your crew to develop and maintain efficient, productive and practical maintenance practices across site.
• Safety first, always. Champion a strong safety culture, promote safe work practices and make sure everyone heads home the same way they arrived.
• Keep the numbers moving and make sure maintenance and optimisation targets are achievedon time, on budget and without compromising safety or quality.
• Build strong relationships and work closely with Emeco customers and key stakeholders to keep things running smoothly and deliver on the bigger organisational goals.

WHAT WE’LL NEED FROM YOU

• 2+ years’ Maintenance Supervisor experience leading teams in mining.
• Strong mobile equipment experience across breakdowns, diagnostics and repairs.
• Tech savvy you'll need to be confident with Microsoft 365 and maintenance systems such as AMT.
• Strong maintenance and reliability knowledge with a focus on safety.
• Recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter Trade Qualification.
• Full Australian Working Rights.
