Job summary

Charles Hull Contracting is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Huntly mine site, on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster. You will supervise a maintenance team, coordinate planned and breakdown work on a Caterpillar fleet, and ensure safe, efficient execution to high standards.

You will act as a link to senior management, address issues promptly, and promote continuous improvement while maintaining quality service.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified with Caterpillar earthmoving expertise.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role with a large mobile fleet.
• WA Schedule 26 Supervisor Qualifications preferred.
• WA HR licence desirable.
• Safety focused mindset and strong work ethic.
• Pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Delegate work, monitor progress and provide feedback on projects.
• Coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance across the fleet.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team to high standards.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team at Huntly mine site on a 5 days on 2 days off roster (Mon to Fri).

You will be responsible for safely supervising and developing the maintenance team. As part of a dynamic team, you will coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance activities across a predominantly Caterpillar mobile equipment fleet, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Coupled with the following:

Performance Management

• Delegate work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback throughout each project.
• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and implement strategies to improve productivity.

Leadership & Communication

• Act as a key link between the team and senior management.
• Address work quality issues, employee concerns and other matters promptly and effectively.

Compliance and Continuous Improvement

• Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
• Participate in company-endorsed training and complete relevant documentation within required timeframes.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives and deliver quality service by upholding quality and customer service standards.

About you

• Trade qualified background with strong focus on Caterpillar earthmoving equipment.
• 3+ years' experience within a supervisory capacity working with a large fleet of mobile equipment.
• Hold Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Qualifications preferred.
• Current WA Drivers Licence (HR desirable).
• Safety focused mindset with a solid work ethic.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

• Certificate IV Leadership and Management.
