Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty seeks a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to support the Building Manager and General Manager in leading daily maintenance operations across BreakFree Great Sandy Straits and Mantra Hervey Bay.

You will supervise Maintenance Assistants, coordinate planned works, liaise with owners, and manage contractors to ensure safety, compliance and high standards onsite.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in property maintenance, facilities, hospitality or strata operations.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with apartment owners, contractors and stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of WHS requirements and contractor management.
• High level of computer literacy, including Outlook, Hub OS and Monday.com.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Maintenance Assistants across both properties.
• Coordinate preventative and programmed maintenance works.
• Liaise with owners regarding approvals for replacement of items such as appliances, floor coverings, fixtures and other owner assets.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors undertaking maintenance and repair works.
• Conduct contractor inductions and verify compliance documentation.
• Inspect completed works to ensure quality, safety and compliance standards are met.
• Monitor room conditions and identify maintenance and replacement requirements.
• Support oversight of Facilities Attendants responsible for grounds, gardens, pools and external property assets.
• Maintain accurate records and manage workflows through Hub OS, Monday.com and email systems.
• Assist the Building Manager and General Manager with maintenance planning and reporting.

Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to support the Building Manager and General Manager in leading the day-to-day maintenance operations across BreakFree Great Sandy Straits and Mantra Hervey Bay.

Purpose

This role will provide direct supervision and support to the Maintenance Assistants, ensuring guest rooms, common property assets, and building infrastructure are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will coordinate planned maintenance works, owner-funded replacements, contractor activities, and preventative maintenance programs while ensuring compliance and safety requirements are met.

Base rate of $31.30ph from Monday - Friday! Saturday $39.13ph, Sunday $46.95ph and Public Holidays $70.43ph!
