Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance services across our island resort. You will lead a team including Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Leading Hands, map workforce resources, coordinate contractors, and drive safety, efficiency and quality across a diverse asset portfolio.

You will champion continuous improvement with asset systems such as CMMS, BMS and SCADA, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and organisational policies while

MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER
Hamilton Island12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced maintenance leader ready to oversee large-scale operations in one of Australia's most unique locations? Hamilton Island is seeking a Maintenance Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of maintenance services across our world-class island resort.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll provide operational leadership to Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Leading Hands, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll oversee workforce planning, contractor coordination, asset management systems and continuous improvement initiatives while helping maintain the infrastructure that keeps Hamilton Island operating at its best.

Where you'll make an impact

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of maintenance operations across Hamilton Island
• Manage Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Leading Hands to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality maintenance outcomes
• Plan workforce resources, rosters and scheduling to meet operational priorities
• Coordinate preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance programs across a diverse asset portfolio
• Oversee contractor management, minor capital works and maintenance projects
• Drive compliance with WHS legislation, maintenance standards and organisational policies
• Champion continuous improvement through effective use of asset management systems, including CMMS, BMS and SCADA platforms
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, costs and service delivery while identifying opportunities for improvement
• Foster a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and leadership development

What we're looking for

You're an experienced maintenance operations leader with a strong technical background and proven ability to manage large teams within a complex operational environment. You thrive in fast-paced settings, build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders and are passionate about delivering safe, efficient and customer-focused maintenance services.

To be successful, you'll need:

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Queensland Open/Unrestricted Driver Licence
• Trade qualification with a minimum of five years' experience in trade, maintenance, engineering or facilities operations
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary maintenance teams within a complex operational environment
• Experience in workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance projects
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, compliance and maintenance best practices
• Excellent leadership, organisational and stakeholder management skills
