Job summary

Stanmore Resources Limited is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at Poitrel Mine in Australia on a 7 day rotating day/night roster. You will manage and safely execute maintenance activities across a heavy mobile equipment fleet to deliver optimal production outcomes.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive mining maintenance leadership, a commitment to safety, and proven ability to lead crews through operational change, improving fleet reliability and performance.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for the management and safe execution of maintenance activities across a heavy mobile equipment fleet, in accordance with the mine safety standards, procedures and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes. This is a permanent opportunity, based at Poitrel Mine on a 7 day rotating day / night roster (7&7).

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Maintenance Supervisor ready to take the next step toward a Superintendent career pathway, with strong leadership capability, a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to lead crews through operational change and performance improvement.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing safe compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions & defined processes to achieve optimal outcomes. Leading and developing frontline maintenance teams to achieve high performance outcomes across safety, reliability and culture.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems.
• Improving fleet performance through quality maintenance practices.
• Executing the maintenance plan.
• Liaising with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities.
• Liaising with the Planners & Schedulers to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan.
• Liaising with contracting partners for various activities.
• Supporting the Superintendent Maintenance with crew leadership, operational decision making and continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

To be successful you will have:

• Experience in a similar position in mining
• Demontrated commitment to upholding safety standards
• Previous experience with CAT Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (793F Haul Trucks, D11 & D10 Dozers, 16 & 18M Graders).
• Demonstrated experience in leading a maintenance team in a frontline supervisory capacity.
• A strong desire to progress into a Maintenance Superintendent position and take ownership of broader operational outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills including time management.
• Flexible / adaptable work style to be able to work within changing environments and work requirements.
• Proactive leadership style with the ability to influence culture, standards and accountability across crews and stakeholders.
