Job summary

Macmahon is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead our mobile maintenance teams across a major mining operation in Central Queensland. You will ensure safe, efficient and reliable maintenance performance while driving continuous improvement in planning, scheduling and asset performance.

You will work closely with Operations, HSEQT, Planning and Maintenance teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and support the project restart with a clear pathway toward senior leadership

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience within mining maintenance environments.
• Strong background in mobile maintenance, with experience managing heavy mining fleets.
• Experience across maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting functions.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance teams across a major mining operation in Central Queensland.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable performance of our mobile maintenance function while driving continuous improvement across planning, scheduling and asset performance. Working closely with Operations, HSEQT, Planning and Maintenance teams, you will provide leadership that supports high-quality maintenance outcomes and strong workforce engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance teams to safely achieve production and maintenance targets
• Drive compliance with maintenance strategies, schedules and operational plans
• Manage maintenance performance across safety, reliability, cost and quality metrics
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to supervisors, planners and trades personnel
• Oversee maintenance planning activities, budgeting processes and resource allocation
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset performance and operational efficiency

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification or tertiary qualification in a related discipline
• Location: Central Queensland (Mackay/Rockhampton region)
• Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off DIDO
