Job summary

EPSA Pacific at the Callide Mine in Queensland is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance crews and ensure the safe, reliable operation of mining plant and equipment.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will prioritise safety through hazard identification and risk management, coach and develop team members, manage work orders and closeouts, and drive the maintenance plan within a dynamic, family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Certificate Standard 11 required.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to complete.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Demonstrate positive safety leadership and behaviour.
• People management and development experience.
• Experience with mining plant maintenance at medium/large operators.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with planning and scheduling.
• G1/G8/G9 tickets required.
• Australian trade qualification with extensive experience in maintenance of mining plant and equipment.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor will see you in the Australian operation working at the Callide Mine, near Biloela in Queensland.

About the role

While reporting to the Superintendent:

Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through effective hazard identification and risk management.

Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities to members of the team driving a positive workplace culture.

Ensure work order feedback and closeouts are completed accurately to improve maintenance efficiencies.

Provide leadership to the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan.

Assist the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents in implementing safety plans.

Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.

To be successful you will have:

Certificate Standard 11

Current Australian Drivers Licence

Current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to complete along with a Pre

Employment Medical including drug and alcohol test

First Aid Certificate

Demonstrate positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour

Effective people management and development experience and skills

Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Work Planning and scheduling skills

G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1,S2,S3) and G2 tickets

Australian trade qualified with extensive experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment.

Previous experience in supervisory roles (leading hand experience considered but direct supervisory experience preferred)

Forklift ticket, Confined space and working at heights (within 5 years)

Minimum 5 years mining experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment

Preferably experience with Komatsu 5500, Excavator Liebherr 996B and 930E Trucks
