Job summary

EPSA Pacific is seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor for our Isaac Downs Complex, near Moranbah, Queensland. You will lead maintenance activities, prioritize safety, and drive a high-performing team in a major mining operation.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will coach staff, manage work orders, and support the safety program while ensuring timely communication of maintenance issues and results.

Qualifications

• Australian trade qualification required for mining plant maintenance leadership.
• Experience in supervisory roles in mining environments preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of mining maintenance experience is essential.
• Standard 11 certification is required or equivalent.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence is mandatory.
• Coal Board Medical current or willing to complete prior to employment.
• First Aid Certificate is required.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and safe work behaviours.
• Proven ability to manage and develop people within a team.
• Experience with medium to large mine operators/contractors is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to plan and schedule work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with a strong safety focus and risk management.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure accurate work order feedback and closeouts to improve efficiency.
• Direct workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan.
• Assist in implementing safety plans with the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents.
• Track maintenance performance and communicate operational issues promptly.

Operating in several countries throughout the world, this opportunity as a qualified and experiencedMaintenance Supervisorwill see you in the Australian operation working at theIsaac Downs Complex,nearMoranbah inQueensland.

About the role:

While reporting to the Superintendent:

Ensure maintenance activities prioritise safety, through effective hazard identification and risk management.

Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developmental activities to members of the team driving a positive workplace culture.

Ensure work order feedback and closeouts are completed accurately to improve maintenance efficiencies.

Provide leadership to the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan.

Assist the Maintenance Manager & Superintendents in implementing safety plans.

Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner.

To be successful you will have:

Australian trade qualified with extensive experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment – Essential

Previous experience in supervisory roles (leading hand experience considered but direct supervisory experience preferred)

Minimum 4 years mining experience in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment

Standard 11

Current Australian Drivers Licence

Current Coal Board Medical, or willingness to complete along with a Pre - employment medical including drug and alcohol test

First Aid Certificate

Demonstrate positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour

Effective people management and development experience and skills

Experience working for a medium to large mine operator/contractor

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Work Planning and scheduling skills
