Job summary

GrainCorp is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule for Northern NSW country operations (~40 sites). You will plan materials, resources, equipment and contractors for planned preventative and shutdown works.

Reporting to the Northern NSW Maintenance Manager, the role requires collaboration with operations supervisors, scheduling manpower, developing cost and time estimates, and maintaining equipment maintenance history.

Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling across multi-site operations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
  • Exposure to CMMS/SAP is desirable.

About the role

Reporting to the Northern NSW Maintenance Manager and based flexibly from either Dubbo, Tamworth or Narrabri offices the Maintenance Planner is responsible for:

  • Working with production to develop and maintain the maintenance schedule for Northern NSW country operations (~40 sites)
  • Planning materials, resources, equipment and contractors for planned preventative and shutdown maintenance works
  • Consulting with operations supervisors / leaders on preventative maintenance activities and equipment servicing
  • Partnering with maintenance supervisors to schedule manpower and resources effectively
  • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work
  • Maintaining up-keep and accuracy of technical information and equipment maintenance history
  • Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems

There is travel required in the role (about one in every three weeks) to sites in our Northern NSW country network, largely for shutdown and project planning.

About your experience

Our ideal candidate has experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within any industry with preference for those with multi-site experience. Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, prioritisation and planning skills are a must in this position.

  • Planning experience in CMMS (SAP desirable)
  • Strong mechanical / electrical understanding
  • Awareness and understanding of budget constraints
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic capability
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently
Requirements

In addition to providing proof of working rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical. A current, valid driver's licence is also required.
