Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planning Officer to join our Facilities & Open Spaces Program. This permanent full-time role includes an on-call roster and an on-call allowance.

You will plan, schedule and coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance across council assets, with 50% office-based work and strong coordination with contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Trade background or qualification with demonstrated experience in building maintenance
• Minimum two years' industry experience
• Current Queensland White Card
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain)
• Experience using maintenance management systems and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance across buildings and community assets
• Schedule works and manage competing priorities
• Coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure safety and high-quality delivery
• Utilise Assetic and reporting systems to track progress and compliance
• Contribute to on-call roster duties and incident response
