Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced Maintenance Project Officer to join our Water Network team. You will provide specialist technical advice and support for investigation, scoping, planning and coordination of maintenance works across water and wastewater assets to ensure reliability, safety and performance.

Reporting to the Maintenance Planner, you will work across preventative, corrective, reactive and capital maintenance activities, supervising or coordinating moderately complex

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant experience in water and sewer industry.
• Significant experience in water and sewer operations, maintenance and construction.
• Experience supervising or coordinating moderately complex technical projects.
• Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance planning.
• Good problem solving, time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical advice and support for investigation, scoping, planning and coordination of maintenance works across water and wastewater assets.
• Work across preventative, corrective, reactive and capital maintenance activities with field staff and contractors.
• Deliver safe, compliant and high-quality outcomes aligned with the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
