Job summary

The Precast Concrete Group, a long-standing Australian manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance across our precast facility in Queensland. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work with maintenance and production teams to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience in maintenance planning or coordination.
• Diploma Degree or higher in relevant field; at least 3 years experience can substitute.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, mining or heavy engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyse maintenance information and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent communication with maintenance trades, production staff, contractors and management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and maintaining preventative and corrective maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment used across the company's precast concrete manufacturing operations.
• Developing and maintaining engineering and maintenance standards
• Developing and implementing effective preventative maintenance and reliability systems to maximise plant efficiency and equipment availability
• Planning and coordinating maintenance of hollowcore production equipment, including hollowcore casting/extrusion machinery, cutting equipment, stressing equipment and associated production systems.
• Coordinating maintenance requirements for concrete batching, mixing, moulding and casting equipment used throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Utilising our Integrated Management System for maintenance planning, reporting, records management, work tracking and general maintenance administration
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing plant downtime and increasing equipment availability
• Establishing maintenance priorities in consultation with production supervisors and coordinate maintenance activities according to operational and manufacturing requirements.
• Managing critical replacement components and spare parts required to maintain the reliable operation of specialised precast production machinery.
• Developing and maintaining planning documentation, procedures and work management standards
