Aveo Bella Vista Haven in Sydney’s Hills District seeks a Maintenance Officer to perform day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs, coordinate contractors, and help maintain grounds and facilities. You will work closely with residents and staff to keep the village running smoothly and safely, with a focus on hands‑on problem solving and positive relationships.

• Experience in a general maintenance or trade‑based role.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with ability to troubleshoot.
• Understanding of maintenance cycles and asset lifespans.
• Clear, resident‑friendly communication skills.
• Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Positive, approachable attitude; team player.
• Valid driver’s license (essential).

Responsabilités

• Work with facilities team and contractors to ensure external works are completed to a high standard.
• Conduct regular inspections around the village to rectify maintenance defects.
• Perform small plumbing tasks such as replacing taps and washers.
• Support upkeep of external assets like lighting and sprinkler systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance across the community.
• Manage community tools and equipment to keep them safe and organized.
• Prepare and program access swipes for residents or family members.
• Document maintenance activities, notes and job updates.
• Be a friendly, approachable presence for residents while collaborating with a supportive team.

The Opportunity

The Opportunity Bella Vista Haven is a vibrant, resort‑style retirement community in Sydney’s Hills District, where modern living, strong connections and everyday convenience create an exceptional retirement experience. As Maintenance Officer, you will be working closely alongside the residents and fellow staff, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks around our retirement village. No two days are the same. From completing repairs and maintenance tasks to coordinating contractors and helping maintain our beautiful grounds and facilities, you'll be at the heart of creating an environment that residents are proud to call home. This role is perfect for someone with a trade background or strong maintenance experience who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and building positive relationships. Your Impact

• Work with the Aveo Facilities team and contractors to ensure external works are attended to and completed to a high standard

What you'll bring
