Aveo is seeking a Maintenance Gardener to care for day‑to‑day gardening and grounds at our Redlands Bay retirement village. You will work Mon-Fri, 7am–3pm, with no weekend work, ensuring gardens and outdoor areas are safe, well‑maintained and visually appealing for residents and visitors.

Responsabilités

• Attend to maintenance requests to keep environment safe and pleasant.
• Maintain village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal.
• Ensure community spaces are appealing and safe for residents and visitors.
• Maintain relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as per schedules.
• Complete adhoc tasks delegated by Community Leaders.
• Build strong relationships with residents and support their well‑being.

The Opportunity

Redlands by the Bay Retirement Resort offers a bayside living lifestyle to residents just a stone’s throw away from the waters of Moreton Isalnd. As a passionate people person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens and building fixtures within the Redland Bay community. As a Maintenance Gardener, you will be play an important role within the community, ensuring gardens, grounds and outdoor areas are safe, well maintained and visually appealing. You’ll take care of day‑to‑day gardening and grounds maintenance tasks while engaging positively with residents. This role is ideal for someone with strong gardening experience who is friendly, proactive, and enjoys a varied, hands‑on role.

This is a permanent full time opportunity working Monday to Friday (7am – 3pm). No weekend work!

Your Impact

• Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
• Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors
• Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
• Complete additional adhoc tasks delegated to you by Community Leaders
• Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well‑maintained areas.

What you'll bring

• Gardening or grounds experience, with a strong sense of pride and ownership in your work
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‑friendly way
• A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
• A valid driver's licence (essential)
