Job summary

St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff is seeking a Maintenance Officer to work autonomously and in a team to handle routine, planned, ad-hoc and urgent maintenance requests, plus garden maintenance, within a 39-bed aged care setting near Sydney. The role requires relevant trade qualifications (desirable) and a valid Driver’s Licence (essential).

You’ll join a supportive team at St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff and participate in on-call rosters while ensuring safe, person-centred care for

Qualifications

• Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painter, electrician or plumbing.
• Relatable experience (essential) in Aged Care, Health or Community (highly desirable).
• Ability to perform maintenance works.
• Hold a valid Driver’s Licence (essential).
• Experience working in a varied work environment.
• Customer service mindset – we are a person-centredorganisation.
• Planning and time management skills.
• Participate in an on-call roster.
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within last 6 months).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check maybe a requirement of this role.

We are seeking a qualified (desirable) trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to residential care service.

As a Maintenance Officer you will work autonomously and as a team, to provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and respond to urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, through to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in Aged Care. As the Maintenance Officer you will be part of a supportive, dedicated team at St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff.

St Vincent's Care Services Edgecliff is just 4km east of Sydney's city centre. Our small but homey 39 bed facility is located in a tranquil, leafy suburb within walking distance of public transport.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity.
