Job summary

St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the team and deliver general handyperson services across maintenance tasks and garden work. You will work autonomously and with the team to respond to routine, planned, ad-hoc and urgent requests in a 39-bed aged care setting in Edgecliff.

The ideal candidate will have trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painting, electrical or plumbing, and experience in aged care or health settings.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in carpentry, painting, electrical or plumbing are desirable.
• Essential experience in Aged Care, Health or Community settings is highly desirable.
• Valid Driver’s Licence is essential.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and urgent maintenance tasks.
• General garden maintenance and repairs (painting, patching, flooring).
• Assist residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes, bathroom and handrail installations.

And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, through to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in Aged Care. As the Maintenance Officer you will be part of a supportive, dedicated team at St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff.St Vincent's Care Services Edgecliff is just 4km east of Sydney's city centre.
