Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the Care Services Edgecliff team. You will handle routine and urgent maintenance across residential care, including painting, patching, flooring and garden work, while assisting residents with various systems and installations.

The role requires trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painting, electrical or plumbing, and a valid driver's licence. You will work within a small, supportive team at Edgecliff.

• Relatable experience in Aged Care, Health or Community is highly desirable.

We are seeking a qualified (desirable) trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to residential care service.

As a Maintenance Officer you will work autonomously and as a team, to provide routine, planned, ad-hoc and respond to urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting, patching and flooring repairs, general pruning and planned mowing, through to assisting residents with sensors, water pressure, TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations – no day is the same in Aged Care. As the Maintenance Officer you will be part of a supportive, dedicated team at St Vincent’s Care Services Edgecliff.

St Vincent's Care Services Edgecliff is just 4km east of Sydney's city centre. Our small but homey 39 bed facility is located in a tranquil, leafy suburb within walking distance of public transport.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

Things that work for us

• Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry, painter, electrician or plumbing
