Job summary

RSL LifeCare is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the ANZAC Village team in Narrabeen, Sydney. The role supports and manages labouring duties across general maintenance to keep the aged care home looking and operating at its best.

Responsibilities include reactive and planned preventative maintenance, working with contractors, completing patching and painting, and ensuring all paperwork and compliance processes are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role, preferably aged care environment.
• Current NSW driver's license.
• Ability to interact with elderly residents daily.
• Clearance checks (police or NDIS) required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
• Maintain homes to the highest standard and follow best practices.
• Work in a busy team with changing priorities.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure compliance.
• Carry out general maintenance and repairs (patching, painting, globes, etc.).
• Ensure paperwork and system processes are followed.

• Part-time, 3 days per week, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 7:30am - 3:36pm

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Officer to join our maintenance team at our ANZAC Village, Narrabeen

This role will be to support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, to ensure the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best.

Responsibilities Include

• Work as part of a dynamic team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance


• Work to established best practise and maintain homes to the highest standard


• Working in a Busy team environment with no day the same


• Working alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work carried out to compliance requirements


• Carrying out General maintenance and repairs; this may include patching & painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenance


• Ensuring all paperwork, documentation and system processes are adhered to

Preferred Attributes

• Previous experience in a maintenance role, aged care preferable but not necessary


• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail & excellent communication skills


• A current NSW driver's license


• Ability to interact with the elderly residents on a day to day basis

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
