Job summary

RSL LifeCare Limited in Lyneham, ACT is seeking a dedicated Residential Care - Maintenance Officer to join our not-for-profit aged care team. You’ll handle grounds maintenance, gardening tasks and basic repairs to support a safe, welcoming environment for veterans and seniors.

You’ll work in a supportive, values-driven setting with flexible hours, a permanent full-time contract, and opportunities for professional development while contributing to high-quality care and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in individual support or related care experience are beneficial.
• Australian Working Rights and eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• General gardening and grounds maintenance (mowing, hedging, trimming, irrigation, bin maintenance).
• Ability to work in a small team or autonomously.
• Empathy with seniors and strong communication with residents and families.
• Maintain WHS practices and safe work environment.
• Basic computer tasks related to care home operations.

• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
