Job summary

Mercy Place Parkville in Victoria is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to ensure our aged care facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents and staff. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance and support safety initiatives across buildings, grounds and systems.

You will bring maintenance experience, contractor management abilities, and solid WHS knowledge. Familiarity with HVAC and CMMS is advantageous; trade qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, preferably in aged care or hotel/hospital settings.
• Ability to liaise with contractors and oversee site access and inductions.
• Good knowledge of WHS/OH&S standards and regulatory maintenance requirements.

In this role, you will ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, functional, and well‐maintained for residents, staff and visitors.As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the on‐going repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility. You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our ILUs and RAC facility remain safe, presentable and operational.* Carry out ground's maintenance, on‐going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture* Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions* Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility* Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S issues to maintain a safe environment* Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems* Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident‐focused team environment**What you’ll bring:**You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
