Job summary

Australian Retirement Holdings is seeking a Maintenance Officer for our retirement village in Gilead. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and coordinate with residents, staff, and external contractors to carry out repairs, routine maintenance, and improvement projects.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, responding to resident requests, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and maintaining records of activities and costs. A team-friendly, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a retirement living or similar environment.
• Trade qualification in building discipline is desirable.
• Sound understanding of building systems and maintenance practice, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge for building systems maintenance.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Overview of Role

The maintenance team is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the physical infrastructure and facilities within our retirement community, located in Gilead. The role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently perform maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for the residents. The Maintenance officer reports to the Maintenance Manager and is required to collaborate with the village management team, residents, and external contractors to coordinate and execute required repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills
